Christophe Lebold discusses his latest book, Leonard Cohen: The Man Who Saw the Angels Fall which follows the singer’s cosmopolitan life and examines his perpetual dialogues with God, with himself, and with hotel rooms. After more than two decades of research, Christophe Lebold, delivers a stimulating analysis of Cohen’s life, art, and deep connection to New York City. This conversation will be moderated by David Shumway, Professor of English at Carnegie Mellon University and Editor of the World of Leonard Cohen.
About the Speaker:
Christophe Lebold is associate professor at the University of Strasbourg (France), where he teaches literature, performance studies, and rock culture. He is the author of Leonard Cohen: The Man Who Saw the Angels Fall, winner of the National Jewish Book Award 2024.
