New York City’s Secrets and Lies—A Storytelling Show About NYC History

Can you tell the difference between a secret and a lie? New York City’s Secrets and Lies is an original storytelling show that has a new slate of all-star storytellers who tell unbelievable tales about New York City history. They’re all true except one. The audience separates fact from fiction in the hopes of winning a fantastic prize—a tour of a secret place in New York City given by Untapped Cities.

Christa Avampato hosts and the August show features:
John Bucher (HBO, History Channel, LA Screenwriter)
Leslie Goshko (Sideshow Goshko featured in The New Yorker, The New York Times, and NPR)
Ashley Semrick (Storied New York, licensed New York City tour guide, Blue School)
Erin Hunkemoeller (Storied New York, licensed New York City tour guide, Urban Assembly)

Doors: 6:30pm, Show: 7:00pm, $12 adv / $15 door

Our New York City Secret:
August’s show will also have a special guest who is a true New York City secret. He’s a filmmaker who is building an interactive, geolocation-based app that brings the secrets of New York City history to life through storytelling. And he needs the audience to be part of this project!
