In celebration of National Poetry Month, 2021-2023 New York State Poet Laureate Willie Perdomo is partnering with Teachers & Writers Collaborative (T&W) to launch the New York State of Poetry week. Organizations throughout the Empire State will offer poetry activities and events throughout the week of April 14-20, 2024. The goal of the campaign is to celebrate the diverse and powerful voices across our state and the transformative power of poetry.
