The New York Women’s Foundation Presents Women’s Leadership & The Lippman Commission

The New York Women’s Foundation will host “Women’s Leadership & The Lippman Commission” featuring women leaders from The Independent Commission on New York City Criminal Justice and Incarceration Reform.  Margaret Egan, City University of New York; MaryAnne Gilmartin and Jane Marshall, Forest City New York; Insha Rahman, Vera Institute of Justice; Courtney Bryan, JP Morgan Chase–Global Philanthropy; Dr. Alethea Taylor, Hunter College–School of Education and Ana Oliveira, President and CEO of The Foundation, will discuss the role of women’s leadership on the Commission and the work being done to help women entangled in the criminal justice system.

Earlier this year, The Foundation commissioned a related work, Women InJustice: Gender and the Pathway to Jail in New York City, a report from John Jay College of Criminal Justice Prisoner Reentry Institute.
