Scott Fitzgerald, Sarah Bernhardt and Oscar Wilde as well as unknown writers whose works deserve staging. Beginning as a modern concert dancer on the West Coast, she is also a choreographer. She has staged her dances as well as those of American choreographer Charles Weidman for the Oakland Ballet, San Francisco Dance Spectrum, Seattle Chamber Dance and others. Productions in 2019 to the present include Sign in the Six O’Clock Sky by Arnold Schulman, Brocade by Robert DiNardo and Zoom plays by Donna Spector and Gay Walley.

Raymond Fortunato (playwright) is a member of the Dramatist’s Guild and a creator of five music albums. A data processing manager by profession, Raymond is a scholar of mathematics, literature, drama, music, history, practical religion and sacred dance. He has bachelor’s degrees in both Mathematics and History, and a master’s degree in History.

The Xoregos Performing Company began in San Francisco as the Xoregos Dance Company, doing choreography by Shela Xoregos as well as that of Carolyn Carlson, Welland Lathrop, Nancy Spanier and historical American dances by Charles Weidman, Katherine Litz and twelve works from the Denishawn repertoire including Soaring. (1922) Moving to New York in the 80’s, Shela Xoregos and the re-named Xoregos Performing Company did many hybrid theater works of text, dance, music and poetry. The company does neglected classics such as Racine’s Britannicus, several different programs of one-acts from the Harlem Renaissance and new plays, dances and music by living artists, often combining art forms, such as dance to poetry and an a capella ghost opera in the round. For the future: Robert E. DiNardo’s Protected and Pierre Corneille’s The Cave, a 400-year-old American premiere.
