Celebrate the opening of “New York Women, War & Patriotism, 1812-1918.” This new exhibit explores the role of women in the war effort throughout our nation’s history, with a special focus on the War of 1812 and World War I. Enjoy an after-hours evening in the Museum, and meet the descendants of Hildreth Meière, mural artist, designer, and member of The Colonial Dames of America. Meière was one of the thousands of women who enlisted in the Navy during WWI and her story is featured in the exhibit.
