In early 70s Bombay, aspiring actor Om Prakash Makhija (Shah Rukh Khan) and famous starlet Shantipriya (Deepika Padukone) are murdered. Thirty years later, Makhija's reincarnation Om Kapoor (Shah Rukh Khan) sets out to discover the mystery of their demise. Thus begins the saga of Om Shanti Om. A highpoint of Bollywood's last great era, and a glamorous homage to its 70s excesses, this meta delight— with a soundtrack by Vishal–Shekhar and lyrics by Javed Akhtar, Vishal Dadlani and Kumaar— features SRK x2 at his wavy-haired best. 35mm Print Courtesy of the George Eastman Museum, gift of Mark and Arman Gabay.
