Patricia Mears has worked as a fashion curator for 30 years. She began her career as the assistant curator of costume at the Brooklyn Museum of Art. For the past 15 years, Mears has been the deputy director of The Museum at FIT. In addition to organizing nearly two dozen exhibitions, writing numerous books, and essays, Mears has worked as a freelance curator and advisor for museums in the United States, Europe, and Japan.
