Open Heart Conversations: Judaism with Rabbi Amichai Lau-Lavie

What can you learn from other faiths? What do you know about other religions? What can Christians learn from Muslims, or Jews from Hindus, or atheists from believers? These are the questions we’ll explore at Open Heart Conversations. Whether you’re a devout follower of your faith, wisdom tradition, agnostic, curious, seeking a new spiritual path, or somewhere in between, there is wisdom to be found in understanding and connecting with different religions and spiritual traditions.

Open Heart Conversations is a place to meet, talk and learn about faith traditions and spiritualities. You are invited to open your heart and begin a journey of transformation to create mutual understanding, compassion and friendship. The Dalai Lama wrote, “Finding common ground among faiths can help us bridge needless divides at a time when unified action is more crucial than ever.”

You are invited to explore and celebrate spiritualities as varied and rich as Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Mormonism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Native American Spirituality and African Wisdom Traditions. Experienced teachers and respected leaders will come and share their teachings, helping to foster respect, tolerance and human connection. Every month, we’ll expand upon a different world religion or spiritual tradition through guest speakers, art, music, interactive activities, Q&A, and panels.

Hosted by Rev. Dr. José M. Román and Rev. Arda Itez, Open Heart Conversations are free, open to the public and welcome to all.
