Join Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) for the world premiere screening of “Open My Eyes.”In this intimate short documentary produced by MSF, Qusay Hussein shares his extraordinary journey—from struggling with the painful aftermath of a suicide bombing in Iraq, to rebuilding his life at an MSF hospital in Jordan, to reinventing himself again in the US. After three years of reconstructive surgery and intensive rehabilitation, Qusay is now preparing for the next challenge.

“Open My Eyes” is the story of one refugee—one young man among the millions of people who have overcome unimaginable obstacles on their way to find safety. The screening will be followed by a brief Q&A with Qusay Hussein and MSF filmmaker Negin Allamehzadeh. The post-screening discussion will be moderated by Kavita Menon, editorial director for MSF-USA.
