Passion by Design: The Art and Times of Tamara de Lempicka (Online Event)

Join the Art Deco Society of New York and Marisa de Lempicka for a very special, online illustrated talk celebrating the life and legacy of her great-grandmother, the renowned and trailblazing artist Tamara de Lempicka.

In this exciting web-based event Marisa will share stunning images of the remarkable artist and her pioneering work that show how Tamara de Lempicka’s paintings defined Art Deco and her life epitomized the Jazz Age. The presentation will even include a number of little-known works by the acclaimed artist and exclusive photographs from family albums.

In this visually stimulating presentation we’ll explore the artist’s dazzling talent, striking beauty, irresistible force of personality, and her ability to achieve success on her own terms. This talk will give us an in-depth look at how the refugee of the Russian Revolution conquered 1920s Paris.

You won’t want to miss Marisa’s intimate insight into this fascinating figure of the Jazz Age. She will share Tamara’s own stories, just as the artist related them to rapt audiences during her lifetime, while also incorporating much additional biographical and historical information.

This event offers a sneak peak at the new, revised edition of Passion by Design: The Art and Times of Tamara de Lempickawhich will be released in December.

Even though this event is online, it will include a live PowerPoint—with wonderful images that you will be able to see directly on your computer screen, tablet, or mobile device—as well as a Q&A session with participants.

Can’t join us at the time of the live event? No problem! Those who register will receive a recording of the entire program a few days after the live presentation. When you sign up for the program you have the opportunity to watch, or rewatch, the recording at a time more convenient for your schedule.
