Performance Philosophy Reading Group

This monthly reading group series, in conjunction with the international research network, Performance Philosophy (PP), will be co-hosted by select CPR Artists-In-Residence. We will read exhilarating and thought-provoking texts from PP’s publications as a springboard into generative discussion and thought-experimentation. In this series of reading groups, we will engage with texts in whatever way seems most productive.

Performance Philosophy (PP) is a relatively new field of exploration that seeks to rethink what precisely thinking is. To do this, the members of PP draw from methodologies in philosophy, performance studies, theatre studies, dance, music, the visual arts, practice-as-research, and other cognate disciplines to play around with, deconstruct, and rearrange the centuries-old hierarchy of academic thought.

All are welcome! Free admission.
