Ireland’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Geraldine Byrne Nason, will be in conversation to discuss Ireland, the UN and the global impact of the Irish, with former Irish diplomat and businessman, Ted Smyth.

Ambassador Geraldine Byrne Nason is a career diplomat who has served in Brussels, New York, Paris, Vienna and Helsinki during her career. As Secretary-General in the Prime Minister’s office from 2011-2014, she was the highest ranking female public servant in Ireland.

Ted Smyth, a leader in strategic communications, brand management and government affairs, has been a senior executive at two Fortune 200 companies and an Irish diplomat. He now serves on the boards of Glucksman Ireland House NYU and Marlboro College, and is Chair of the Clinton Institute in University College Dublin.
