Piano School of NYC Recitals at Jazz at Lincoln Center

The Piano School of NYC is proud to present a FREE event — Recitals at Jazz at Lincoln Center — featuring over 75 gifted and talented piano students. Admission is free, and no tickets are needed for this family-friendly event. There are 5 separate recitals, including a competition winners’ recital at 7:00 PM.

The recitals will take place on Sunday, March 4, 2018, at 11:30 AM, 1:15 PM, 3:00 PM, 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM (competition winners) at Frederick P. Rose Hall located at the intersection of Broadway and 60th St. To reach the hall, go to the Time Warner Center (The Shops at Columbus Circle, 10 Columbus Circle, New York, NY 10019) and enter on 58th St, on 60th St, or at Columbus Circle. Take the JAZZ elevators to the fifth floor.

The founder of The Piano School of NYC, Vera Anselmo, states: “Recitals at Jazz at Lincoln Center draw many gifted students every year. This has been an Annual Tradition for the Piano School of NYC since 2007. Preparing for a recital is not an easy task: it requires discipline, focus, and perseverance.”

Six-year-year old twins, Isabella and Sophia, will be performing in the recital. Isabella says, “I really want to do a good job on my performance for this very special recital, so I’ve been practicing very hard and I keep trying to play my pieces very well.” Sophia says, “I feel happy and excited because it is my second recital and my first one at Lincoln Center!  I hope I do a great job. It’s so exciting to have a live audience, especially with my daddy, papa and twin sister present!”

Classical, contemporary and romantic pieces of music will be played from memory by students ages 6-15.
