Pouring Green-Wood

In fall 2015, local Brooklyn couple Joy Doumis and Jeremy Hammond began harvesting apples from the apple trees at Green-Wood to produce homemade hard cider. And the results were delicious! In support of the sustainable farming movement and a love for all things Green-Wood, join Joy and Jeremy for the story of how they brewed over 100 bottles of hard cider in their own back yard.  They’ll also talk about best practices for making hard cider, including how to harvest apples and care for the trees that produce them.  Naturally, a tasting of the final product is included.

$30; $25 for members of the Green-Wood Historic Fund and members of the Brooklyn Historical Society.  Reservations are recommended.  To make an online reservation or to find out more information, call 718-210-3080 or visit www.green-wood.com/toursevents.
