Bring in the New Year with a FREE  CONCERT by singer/songwriter Maya Caballero. Maya got her start at NY's Sidewalk Cafe with Regina Spector and at the Living Room, where Nora Jones was discovered. Maya has been likened to both. Her whimsical 1920s ragtime/Dixieland style/folk and blues reflect her travels in the Southwest, Midwest and France. She recorded her new CD, "For Sale," in Tucson, Arizona, with several members of the acclaimed band CALEXICO.

Before Maya's performance, radio legend DJ KEN DASHOW, from 104.3 FM radio station, who has interviewed "everyone who was an anyone" and is known for "Breakfast With the Beatles" on Sunday mornings, will give a talk starting at 2:30pm.

No advance registration is needed and it's a straight ride out on the F train to 179th Street (next to last stop) & then a short walk (3-4 blocks) to the library. If the F train is diverted, the E train will also get you there with a bit longer walk.
