Release Your Inner Critic: Self-Compassion for Daily Life

Susan Pollak

Everyday life presents myriad challenges, from running late or losing a job to making an embarrassing social faux pas. Self-compassion is one of the most important skills we can bring to ALL of life’s challenges.

In this workshop, you will learn simple yet powerful self-compassion meditation practices that you can practice while walking, taking the subway, at work, or in a relationship, and that will invite more peace and happiness.

Through sharing stories, guided practices, and lively discussion, you’ll learn to respond to your own imperfections like a loving, supportive friend, instead of a harsh critic. No meditation experience required.

A One-Day Workshop

Susan M. Pollak, MTS, EdD, a psychologist, author, and longtime student of meditation and yoga, is cofounder and teacher at the Center for Mindfulness and Compassion at Harvard Medical School/Cambridge Health Alliance and president of the Institute for Meditation and Psychotherapy.
