Sad Dads Book Club Presents: An Evening of Literary Conversation In Collaboration with the Surviving New York Reading Series

On Thursday, June 18, we’re gathering at Liz’s Book Bar for a live author panel featuring Sam Sussman (“Boy from the North Country”), Liz Riggs (“Lo Fi”), Megan Nolan (“Acts of Desperation”), Julian Tepper (“Between the Records”), and Katie Yee (“Maggie; or, A Man and a Woman Walk Into a Bar”), moderated by Brandon Stosuy (“Sad Happens”).

The evening will bring these writers into conversation around their books and the work behind them, moving through how each of these stories were built, what shaped them, and the ideas and questions that sit underneath the pages. We’ll be talking about process, structure, and the specific choices that define each of these books, while also letting the conversation move freely between them.

The format will stay open and conversational, with time for audience Q&A to close out the evening.
