Scenes, Sonnets and Soliloquies: A Celebration of the First Folio

In celebration of the New-York Historical Society’s exhibition of a rare original First Folio, Shakespeare lovers of all ages will gather for a day of workshops and performances, led by Theatre for a New Audience teachers and artists.

Shakespeare’s First Folio was published in 1623, seven years after his death, and was the first collected edition of Shakespeare’s plays. From June 7 – July 17, an original edition of the First Folio will be on view at the New-York Historical Society, the only venue in New York State, courtesy of the Folger Shakespeare Library in Washington, D.C.
