Secret Science Club Presents Light of the Stars: Alien Worlds and the Fate of the Earth

Get on your rocket and ride over to the Secret Science Club next Monday night, as astrophysicist Adam Frank explores exoplanets, off-world atmospherics, and the existential threats facing our own planet.

In this far-out talk, coinciding with the release of his new book Light of the Stars, Adam Frank looks at gases on Mars, robotic missions to other planets, and mathematical calculations about the possibility of life elsewhere in the Universe – all for the purpose of gaining cosmic perspective on the third rock from the sun.

Adam Frank is an astrophysics professor at the University of Rochester, where he researches star formation, exoplanets, and astrobiology. He is co-founder of NPR’s 13.7: Cosmos and Culture blog and author of the just-released book, Light of the Stars: Alien Worlds and the Fate of the Earth.
