Selected Shorts | Humans of New York: Stories

Brandon Stanton, the photographer and storyteller behind the #1 New York Times bestselling Humans of New York, hosts an evening of readings from his newest book, Humans of New York: Stories, along with fiction connected to the themes in the book by Tom Wolfe, Nelson Eubanks and John McNulty.

With readings by Jason Biggs (American Pie), Tracee Chimo (Orange is the New Black), Brandon J. Dirden (All The Way on Broadway), Lynn Cohen (Sex and the City), Vanessa Aspillaga (The Jim Gaffigan Show), and Peter Francis James (Merchant of Venice on Broadway).

Hosted by Brandon J. Dirden.

*Due to a scheduling conflict, Elizabeth Rodriguez is no longer able to participate in this event.

“There’s no judgment, just observation and in many cases reverence, making for an inspiring reading and visual experience.” (Publishers Weekly starred review of Humans of New York)

“Some street photographers hide behind phone booths like paparazzi so their subject won’t be aware of their presence, but for Stanton it’s precisely that awkward interaction, the tearing down of the wall between strangers, that he covets.” (The Huffington Post on Humans of New York)

There will be a book signing after the event.

A limited number of seats are available for a premium price, which includes a $50 tax-deductible contribution to Symphony Space.  Ensure you have the best seats in the house.
