“After the Silence” Book Discussion and Reception (Glen Cove, NY)

The Holocaust Memorial & Tolerance Center of Nassau County (HMTC) presents a book discussion and reception celebrating the publication of the anthology After the Silence: Reflections of the Descendants. Lillian Gewirtzman, a Holocaust Survivor and co-editor of After the Silence, and various Second Generation descendants, will read excerpts and lead a discussion highlighting the themes found in the book. Some of the topics that will be addressed are those shared by both Jewish and German descendants such as unanswered questions, silence about the past, guilt and shame, etc.

Copies of the book will be available for purchase.
