The Silence of Others with Almudena Carracedo at Impugning Impunity 2018

Impugning Impunity ALBA’s Human Rights Documentary Film Festival is excited to screen The Silence of Others as part of our 2018 Official Selection. This celebrated documentary from director Almudena Carracedo showcases the struggle of victims of Spain’s 40-year dictatorship under General Francisco Franco who continue to seek justice to this day. The film follows survivors over six years as they organize the groundbreaking “Argentine Lawsuit” and fight a state-imposed amnesia of crimes against humanity. A discussion with director Almudena Carracedo will directly follow the film.
