Sisterhood of Pain, Sisterhood of Hope

YOUR 12-YEAR-OLD DAUGHTER IS KILLED BY AN ISRAELI.

YOUR 18-YEAR-OLD SON IS KILLED BY A PALESTINIAN.

Giving in to bitterness is almost irresistible. So you feed the cycle of suspicion and anger that leaves more children dead, more mothers in mourning.

The 600 Palestinian and Israeli families of the Parents Circle Families Forum-mothers and fathers, brothers and sisters, husbands and wives who’ve lost loved ones to the seemingly endless conflict—refuse to give up hope so that we can break that cycle.

Twelve of those mothers who forged the pain of their children’s deaths into a common passion for peace are bringing their remarkable stories to the Streicker Center. They will talk about their efforts to turn hatred into understanding and vengeance into reconciliation.
