Sokolow Theatre/Dance Ensemble

The Sokolow Theatre/Dance Ensemble, the major custodian of the repertory of modern dance great Anna Sokolow, will appear in rarely seen works by the great choreographer, including Moods, created in the 1970s for the Daniel Lewis Contemporary Dance System and not seen since.  Other group works are the 1961 Dreams, driven by Sokolow’s nightmares about the Holocaust; and the lighthearted Preludes, set to the music of George Gershwin.   Joining the 14-member ensemble are guests Jennifer Conley, former principal with the Martha Graham Dance Company, David Glista of the Limon Dance Company, and Clarence Brooks, who will dance Sweet in the Morning by late choreographer Leni Wylliams.
