SOMEBODY FEED PHIL: A Love Affair with Israeli Food

Somebody feed Phil (Rosenthal) a little more sabich.

Israel is too much like Hebrew school, Phil Rosenthal thought before flying to Tel Aviv in 2017 to film an episode of his award-winning Netflix series Somebody Feed Phil.

That changed when he discovered cauliflower Gondi in a Persian vegan restaurant, humus in a synagogue-themed cafe and Yemini beef cheek soup dished out by the Soup Princess. Then Dr. Shakshuka hand-fed him eggs cooked atop a tomato stew for breakfast and wasabi sorbet over smoked salmon.

Listen to the lovable creator of Everybody Loves Raymond reminisce about his culinary journey across Israel that will leave you craving falafel and sabich for dinner!
