Special Event with Racing Legend Mario Andretti

Join racing legend Mario Andretti as he discusses the physics of racing with Club Fellow Jim Clash

About this Event

Mario Andretti epitomizes the definition of the word “legend.” In 2000, he was named “Driver of the Century” by the Associated Press. Andretti, 79, is the only driver to have won major races across all the big international motorsports venues, showing his versatility. Jewels in his crown include the Indianapolis 500 (1969, IndyCar), the Daytona 500 (1967, NASCAR), the 24 Hours of Le Mans, in class (1995) and The World Driving Championship (1978, Formula One). He has written several books including “What It’s Like Out There” (1970), “Mario Andretti, World Champion” (1979), and “Andretti” (1994).

Join Mario as he discusses the physics of racing with interviewer Jim Clash FR’99. Topics covered will be fear; exploration of unknown boundaries, both mental and physical; Mario’s meager roots in Montona, Italy; his son and grandson, Michael and Marco, and their contributions to racing; and much more. At the end of the 50-minute interview, as is customary, Clash will open the floor to audience questions. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to meet a living legend.
