The State of #CLOSErikers with JustLeadershipUSA

They said it couldn’t be done. They said others had tried and failed. Since its launch in April 2016, the #CLOSErikers Campaign has continued to create the space for meaningful criminal justice reform. Together, we have changed the narrative around mass incarceration across the nation.

Please join us for The State of #CLOSErikers on Tuesday, January 30 at 6:30pm (doors @ 5:30pm) to celebrate the power of movement building and the accomplishments of over 170 partner organizations and their members committed to #CLOSErikers and build communities.

Please note there is no limit to partner organization attendees. Feel free to register as many staff, members, participants, or supporters as needed! [Doors will open at 5:30PM for registration and cocktail hour in the lobby.]

The program will be co-facilitated by several JLUSA leaders from the #CLOSErikers campaign who will outline current campaign priorities and actions that partner organizations can take moving forward. The State of #CLOSErikers will also celebrate the movement and momentum we have built in less than two years, featuring performances by community organizations committed to cultural and political revolution– such as DECODA, a New York City-based chamber ensemble dedicated to creating meaningful musical experiences through dynamic performances, education, and a quest for social impact.
