Join us to celebrate Pride Month with a talk about the life and work of New York artist Stuart Edelson (b. Bronx, New York, 1944–d. New York, New York, 1995), whose sculpture, Memory Object (1973), is in Derfner Judaica Museum + Art Collection’s permanent collection. Senior Curator Emily O'Leary will discuss Edelson's fascinating life as an artist, cultural worker, LGBTQ+ activist, novelist, playwright, and world traveler before his untimely death from AIDS. Organized in conjunction with DOROT.
