Summer Loving Soirée

Featuring special guest Sylvia Weinstock! Sylvia is a baker and beloved cake decorator who started her now-famous cake business after turning 50. She’s baked cakes for celebrities including Oprah, Kim Kardashian, and Martha Stewart. She was a special guest and “secret weapon” on the Netflix show Nailed It!. Throughout the event, Sylvia will share lessons on love and life that she’s learned over the course of her long and exciting career.

Bring your first dates, your blind dates, your longtime spouse or your BFF! We’re throwing a festive soiree on the eve of Tu B’Av – a holiday sometimes known as the “Jewish Valentine’s Day.” The beauty of our historic sanctuary will have you swooning at this lighthearted evening featuring live music, wine and nosh.  Eleonore Weill and Jake Shulman-Ment will fill the sanctuary with klezmer music and Yiddish songs of love. And between their lively musical numbers, you’ll hear old-timey advice on keeping a happy home, time-honored tales of love blossoming on the dance floor, and remembrances from a real couple who got married in the synagogue’s dilapidated sanctuary in the 1980s.  You can even use a historic manual to craft the perfect love letter on a vintage typewriter! A champagne toast will seal the deal on the best date night ever.

Ticket price includes all food and drink. Festive attire suggested – Tu B’Av revelers typically wear white.
