Talks Progress Administration: HIV, The Three Epidemics

AIDS abruptly appeared in 1981 and quickly created a world of fear, destroying countless lives and exposing the deadly power of public stigma along the way. Almost four decades later, much has changed, and yet much work still remains to be done. Three Epidemics uses a mix of science and theatrical multimedia to explore the history of HIV and assess how it evolved from a deadly infection to a chronic disease, how lack of access to healthcare and mistaken public perception may be helping the disease spread, and how we can use tools of advocacy and awareness to win the fight against AIDS.
