The Bang Group’s “Nut/Cracked”

The Bang Group presents the 16th season of choreographer David Parker’s comic, neo-vaudevillian “Nut/Cracked,” performed by an ensemble of 21 dancers joined by guest students from The Dalton School, Frank Sinatra H.S. for the Performing Arts, and e.g. dance.  Parker’s witty choreography is totally unpredictable, ranging from tap to pointe, and inspired by competition, intoxication, greed, Chinese take-out, bubble-wrap, and more.  His music choices are as playful, with the Tchaikovsky score played in the traditional orchestrations, along with renderings by Duke Ellington, Glenn Miller, and others. A one-hour delight for audiences of all ages.
