The Chemistry of Chemistry: How Hormones Affect Romance and Relationships
Why do you do the things you do? Hormones play a surprising role in everyday life (beyond just pimples and emotions), from what shirt you wear to how many skateboard tricks you do.
In this talk, Dr. Adar Eisenbruch will pursue the theory that hormones are signals that orchestrate our brains and bodies for particular goals. For example, we’ll look at how testosterone (in men) and estradiol and progesterone (in women) regulate — and are regulated by — mating behavior. From flirting to taking care of a baby, and everything in between, your hormones might be pulling the string.
