The Dream Song of Olaf Asteson

Join us to celebrate Epiphany with eurythmy to explore The Dream Song of Olaf Asteson, an ancient Norwegian folk legend of the Holy Nights, which was discovered in 1850. It tells the story of a young man who slept for the twelve holy nights during the deep winter days. When he awoke on the thirteenth day, he told of the wondrous experiences and sights he had seen. Rudolf Steiner spoke about the significance of this song. We will read parts of it as a group, and move some of the forms that were given by Rudolf Steiner to express the essence of the Holy Nights.

Linda Larson is a eurythmist, facilitates workshops and seminars, Eurythmy in the Workplace; has taught widely, performed, and practiced pedagogical and therapeutic eurythmy in Europe, UK, USA. She is currently the therapeutic eurythmist at Rudolf Steiner School, NYC. Linda was trained in Dornach, Switzerland, England, USA, holds MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art, and BS from U. of Delaware.
