Yael Shy is the author of “What Now? Meditation for Your Twenties and Beyond” (Parallax, 2017) and the Founder and Director of MindfulNYU, the largest campus-wide mindfulness initiative in the country. Yael has been practicing in the Jewish Meditation and Soto Zen traditions for nearly two decades and teaching for one, with writing published in Tricycle, Lion’s Roar, Mindful Magazine, Harvard Business Review, and elsewhere. She teaches weekly at MNDFL, and on the apps SuperShe (live), 10% Happier, and Simple Habit, and around NYC. She lives in Washington Heights.
