The Joy of Whiskey

From Kentucky to Taiwan, a new generation of whiskey makers (spelled whisky in some parts of the world) are changing the way we produce, talk about, and drink the classic dram. Join our newest “faculty member”, a guest lecturer from the Culinary Institute of America and National Director of Barrell Craft Spirits, in a tour of whiskies that are innovating around the globe. Learn how to taste, what to look for, and some of the science behind how it was all done.
This class features six luxury whiskeys, meant to be sipped and savored. You will learn how to taste and appreciate fine whiskey – even how to nose – and what makes each expression so unique. This is truly a One Day U treat for those looking for something memorable and special, all taking place in the offices of the renowned importer Skurnik Wines and Liquors. A Welcome cocktail, six individual pours of whisk(e)y, and light bites will be served.
OUR ALL-STAR WHISK(E)Y:
1) Del Bac Mesquite Smoked Single Malt – Arizona
2) Kavalan Single Malt – Singapore
3) Barrell Craft Spirits – Kentucky / World Blends
4) Chichibu Malt and Grain – Japan
5) Single Cask Nation – Scotland (Single Malt)
6) Compass Box Blends – Scotland (Blend)
