The New York Women’s Foundation’s 2018 Brooklyn Neighborhood Dinner

The New York Women’s Foundation (The Foundation) will host its 2018 Neighborhood Dinner in Brooklyn at the Lepercq Space in the Brooklyn Academy of Music Café on Thursday, November 15. The evening celebrates the diverse cultures of New York City and the courageous women leaders working to make it a better place for all. This year’s celebration highlights three of Brooklyn’s most inspiring women.
Neighborhood Leadership Awards will be presented to Julia Jean-Francois, Co-Director at Center for Family Life in Sunset Park and Alyssa Aguilera, Co-Executive Director of VOCAL-NY. The Spirit of Entrepreneurship Award will be presented to Cynthia Gordy Giwa, Editor-in-Chief and Co-Founder, Black-Owned Brooklyn.
The event will also feature The Foundation’s grantee partners, whose advocacy and service make Brooklyn a borough where women and families can thrive.
The Foundation launched the Neighborhood Leadership Award in 1994 to promote and honor the power of women acting in and for their communities, alternating among the five boroughs each year. The Spirit of Entrepreneurship Award is presented to a woman whose presence enriches the community and demonstrates a deep level of commitment to Brooklyn.
Tickets start at $125. Sponsorships and event journal placements are available. For more information, visit https://www.nywf.org/event/neighborhood-dinner-in-brooklyn/, email [email protected] or call 646-564-5975.
