The Outdoor Museum: Book Launch

Join Pulitzer Prize-winning Broadway lyricist Sheldon Harnick whose beloved works include Fiddler on the Roof and Fiorello!, and his wife, the actress and artist Margery Gray Harnick as they launch their new book of poems and photographs, The Outdoor Museum (Beaufort Books, 2012), a celebration of New York City. With a foreword by director Mike Nichols, the book salutes landmarks and cultural icons as well as sometimes overlooked urban scenes-- young lovers in front of the Broadhurst Theater stage door, the corner of a building reflected in a puddle on Central Park West, and mosaic subway tiles beneath the American Museum of Natural History.
