Lauriston and Domino wade through their own struggles with depression, anxiety, rage, and everything in between by connecting with fellow black women over their shared experiences. Each conversation centers on creating a space for genuine joy and affirming their existence in the most unexpected ways. For black women in particular, joy isn’t just a self-indulgent luxury, it’s a political act and a vitally important necessity to survive. They’re on the hunt for the ‘secrets’ that have helped many before them not only preserve that act but also thrive.
