The Silent Stream: Wisdom of a Brighton Whore Pt 1

Georgy Porgey pudding and pie.

The original Party Prince Regent, The Trump, Boris, the Andrew of his time… with likewise a penchant for building profusely, leaving debts, and grabbing p*ssies.

George is a king in waiting. Kept to the wings and given no role by his pious, over-controlling father, he turns to a life of hedonism whereupon building borrowing, cavorting, grabbing pussies, paying off women, gambling, drink and laudanum …all become close to his heart.

Once on the throne…. nothing changes.

Now, with a new King about to be crowned, a “Spare” about to release his memoirs, the haunting award-winning dark comedy about the secrets behind the building of the Brighton Royal Pavilion.

A raucous darkling gem, the true story of how George IV patronised Brighton, partook of the town’s women, fathered unwanted children, and wrestled the land from an ancient stream.

Set in early 1800’s Brighton, (prequel to Betsy, Wisdom of a Brighton Whore, also playing SoHo Playhouse, 14-23 Dec. )
