The Tapestry of Time

With William J. H. Andrewes, museum consultant and sundial maker. Time is woven throughout the fabric of our civilization. Although its impact on our society today is greater than ever before, most people know very little about the history of timekeeping or the origins of the intervals that control our lives. Through images of major works of the art and science of horology, this talk will describe the evolution of time measurement from around 1600 to the present.
