The 2012 Eric P. Newman Graduate Summer Seminar Visiting Scholar, Professor Alain Bresson, will analyze the finance and monetary policy of the early, electrum phase, the silver only phase, and then the growing separation between silver for heavy units (tetradrachms) and predominantly bronze for smaller denominations.
