Join us for a special discussion looking at the virtual art exhibition “Taking Space: A Queer Womxn Portrait Series” by Gwen Shockey and Riya Lerner. In this discussion the artists will sit in conversation with activists featured in the exhibition on the significance of queer community and in-person gathering. By examining ephemera from each activist’s life and work, we will learn more about the intimate spaces each of them built and sustained for lesbian and queer womxn in New York City over the decades.
