In Magnum Opus: Resurgere Ex Cineribus — an ode in film to recovery from failed collaborations and dashed artistic dreams, I battle Capitalism and Industry to spread Peace and Hope to you, the masses.
Magnum Opus = Work of profound meaning, to the maker and to those honored in the creation.
Resurgere Ex Cineribus = I will rise from the Ashes.
Hopes dashed after the collapse of what was to be a flowering collaboration, I use the pieces of my failure to recreate my original vision. I have suffered a Grave Disappointment, of the type best described in the fluttering and failure of Thomas Hardy’s iconically memorable characters. I have been Tess of the D’Ubervilles, attempting great heights to be dashed down by unseeing forces of class oppression with human faces and snide tones. Come bear witness as I transform this Bitter Betrayal to a Soul’s Balm.
This is a Pivot in Performance. Please join me as I channel the Celestial Quaver underlying this Sacred City.
