“The World Eats Here” Book Release: Meet Inspiring Queens Night Market Chefs in Their Home Kitchens

Join us for an online celebration and book release of “The World Eats Here: Amazing Food and the Inspiring People Who Make It” at New York’s Queens Night Market by John Wang and Storm Garner presented in partnership with The August Tree.

The event will feature Queens Night Market founder John Wang and oral historian Storm Garner speaking about their book and related projects, as well as three vendor-chefs from the Queens Night Market who will open up their kitchens to us as they prepare food and discuss some of the impact of COVID-19 on their work and livelihood.

Special Queens Night Market vendor-chef guests include: Danny Atehortua from Arepalicious making arepas; Carly and Nicole DiLena from DiLena’s Dolcini making biscotti; and Sokhia Sok from Cambodia Now making caramelized sweet potatoes.
