Theater of War

The 9/11 Memorial & Museum will host a special performance of “Theater of War” as part of the annual Salute to Service, a tribute honoring veterans, active-duty members of the military and their families. The performance will feature actress Kathryn Erbe of “Law & Order: Criminal Intent,” actor Bill Camp of HBO series “The Night Of” and Brooklyn council member Jumaane D. Williams, who will perform a dramatic reading of scenes from Sophocles’ “Ajax.” The ancient play addresses the visible and invisible wounds caused by war and aims to help service members, veterans and communities reflect on the moral and spiritual dimensions of war and returning to civilian life. The performance will be followed by a powerful audience discussion led by a panel of 9/11 and military community members. Refreshments will be served.
