Tibetan Astrology + Divination

As we turn our attention to the year ahead, join the Rubin Museum in a personalized workshop to learn how to maximize your most auspicious opportunities according to Tibetan astrology.

Guided by an elaborate illuminated manuscript of the Tibetan system of astrology and elemental divination called the White Beryl, Dr. Tenzin Dakpa, a senior doctor of Tibetan medicine in New York City, and Tashi Chodron, the Rubin’s Assistant Manager of Himalayan Cultural Programs & Partnerships, will share how they use astrology and divination in their daily lives for optimal health, well-being, and auspiciousness.

In this workshop, participants will learn about the rich tradition of Tibetan astrology and divination and its relationship to health and well-being. They will also learn to identify their birth-year animal along with its typical characteristics, their most auspicious day of the week according to the Tibetan Lunar Calendar, and how to maximize well-being for the year ahead. Each participant will receive take-home resources to further their personalized research.
