To Like or Be Displeased—the Unseen Battle in Every Wife

TO LIKE OR BE DISPLEASED—THE UNSEEN BATTLE IN EVERY WIFE will be the subject that will be clearly addressed, to the great good of married life, at the Understanding Marriage! class on Saturday, June 8th, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM.
At the June 8th event, open to all women, consultants Barbara Allen, Meryl Nietsch-Cooperman, and other Aesthetic Realism Consultants will conduct a lively, down-to-earth discussion of these sentences by Mr. Siegel from The Right of Aesthetic Realism to Be Known issue no. 859:
“When a woman consents to marry, she hopes to like this person she’ll marry. At the same time, she feels she can like her spouse without the desire to like as such. There is a big desire in people not to be pleased with what is not themselves. Does one have to be grateful that reality exists, and particular things in it, in order to have a successful marriage?”

Women haven’t known what Aesthetic Realism explains: a wife can get a triumph—coming from the debilitating hope to have contempt—in being displeased, in feeling the person she’s close to doesn’t measure up and that she, therefore, is superior. Each woman will also be understanding that a wife really wants something greater and smarter: to find reasons to respect and care more for the world itself, and that certainly includes her spouse. That is the best thing in her and the way to have marriage stronger: the hope to like the world by knowing and seeing meaning in it!
