Tour: Lower East Side Galleries

The Lower East Side is mostly known as the home for millions of immigrants who started their American dream in its cramped tenements, bringing their traditions, foods, and customs. Our tour will span the areas of the formerly East European, now mostly Latin American areas below Houston Street, down to the expanding and rejuvenated Chinatown around Grand Street – all so rich in history and contemporary energy! Art galleries are still finding affordable spaces in this area and are adding to its cultural wealth.
