Tour of the Nolen Greenhouses and Pfizer Plant Research Lab, New York Botanical Garden

Join the AIANY Science and Research Facilities Committee for a tour of the Nolen Greenhouses and the Pfizer Plant Research Laboratory at the New York Botanical Garden.

These buildings, not open to the public, are state-of-the art greenhouse and research facilities supporting NYBG’s programs in horticulture, science, and education. Tours of the facilities will be led by representatives of Mitchell | Giurgola Architects, designers of the Nolen Greenhouses, and Ennead Architects, designers of the Pfizer Plant Research Laboratory.

The walk will enable participants to see some other recent projects of note, including the Leon Levy Visitor Center, designed by H3 Hardy Collaboration Architecture, and the Native Plant Garden designed by Oehme van Sweden landscape architects.

This is a special opportunity to see two architecturally significant buildings and to spend a summer morning in this beautiful setting with convenient access by train (Metro North), subway, or car to the city.

The tour will take about two hours.
